Bothering someone who works for money.
If you had common sense you may think of this. The gas station is building something on it’s property to make it look better.
@savemyrepublic Hey, I agree with you. But it’s not like there’s a savings account that’s set aside for public works. If they don’t spend a certain amount of authorized monies in a certain fiscal year, they won’t have that amount availible for the next year. And then their faced with the possibility of not having funds for projects when they actually need the money. It’s a f-d up system, and we’re dealing with the same situation in the military. 10 times worse.

Ya know, there’s a reason money gets spent this way at the end of the fiscal year. If moneys are not spent and there is a surplus, it’s harder for counties to get money from the state, and states to get money from the feds for the next years budget. I know it sounds stupid, but the reasoning is that if a city dosn’t spend x amount of dollars during a fiscal year, and that shows in the surplus, then the county or states sees no reason to meet a requested budget. Lame, right?
